HumanOS is a "mindful AI" platform designed to restore human creativity in an increasingly automated world. Built by 13-year-old Veer Dagliya, the tool acts as a creative thinking companion that encourages users to slow down, reflect, and brainstorm independently before utilizing AI-generated output.
The Problem: AI Chatbots Are Reducing Human Creativity
The rise of generative AI has led to several critical challenges for students and creators:
Creative Dependency: Individuals are becoming overly reliant on AI to generate content, effectively replacing the natural process of original thinking.
Loss of Cognitive "Struggle": By skipping the difficult parts of brainstorming and problem-solving, users miss out on the deep reflection necessary for true understanding and growth.
Generic Output: Heavy reliance on tools like ChatGPT often results in unoriginal, generic work that lacks personal voice and authenticity.
"I'm a student who's grown up, surrounded by AI tools - we've just forgotten how to think for ourselves."
The Solution: Leveraging Chatbots Without Losing The Human Creative Process
HumanOS introduces a unique workflow that places human thought at the center of the creative process:
Reflective Prompts: Before providing answers, the tool asks users questions like "What are you curious about today?" or "What kind of 'stuck' are you feeling?" to prompt self-reflection.
Creative Exercises: The platform offers daily rituals, constraint challenges, and warm-ups to spark original ideas.
Mindfulness Analytics: A weekly report tracks the user's "AI Reliance" percentage, rewarding them with badges for original creative streaks.
Built for Middle and High Students looking to use AI as a tool for learning without losing their critical thinking skills.
"It keeps the human originality spark awake at the center of the creative process."
The initial development of HumanOS began with a chatbot prototype built using no-code tools to simulate mindful AI interactions. To validate the concept, Veer hosted a "Creata-thon," a user-testing event where 15–20 students engaged with the platform to complete various projects. The results were highly encouraging, with participants reporting that they felt more ownership over their ideas and less pressure to simply copy AI-generated answers. Based on this feedback, Veer has refined the interface to include "Daily Rituals," creative streak tracking, and an automated weekly report that summarizes a user's creative growth and level of AI independence.
Veer’s long-term vision for HumanOS is to build a global community of "Creative Thinkers" who prioritize originality over automation. He aims to scale the platform by partnering with schools and colleges to integrate HumanOS into the standard curriculum, helping a new generation of students use technology mindfully. Future iterations of the platform are envisioned as a "LinkedIn for Creative Thinkers," where users can publish their mindfully created work and connect with others who share similar interests. Ultimately, HumanOS seeks to redefine the human-AI relationship, ensuring that while AI makes the world faster, human originality makes it more meaningful.
